Dhaka Technical Teachers Training Institute Completes NSDA Level 3 Computer Operation Training for 21 Polytechnic Teachers
Dhaka, October 2024 — Dhaka Technical Teachers Training Institute (DTTTI) has successfully completed the NSDA Level 3 Computer Operation Training for a group of 21 polytechnic teachers from institutions across Bangladesh. The training, certified by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), focused on enhancing the digital literacy and computer operation skills of teachers, enabling them to integrate technology more effectively into their classrooms.
The Level 3 Computer Operation program provided comprehensive instruction in fundamental IT skills, including:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint): To help teachers efficiently manage documents, create data-driven spreadsheets, and design professional presentations for their classes.
- Web Browsing and Internet Usage: Covering essential online tools for research, information gathering, and safe internet practices.
- Bijoy Typing Software: Training on Bangla typing, an essential skill for creating academic content and administrative tasks in the national language.
The program was designed to empower polytechnic teachers to enhance their own digital skills, which they can pass on to their students in technical education. Participants appreciated the practical approach of the course, with many noting how these skills would improve their teaching methods and administrative efficiency.
One of the teachers commented, “This training has not only helped me improve my personal computer skills but has also equipped me to teach my students more effectively. Understanding tools like Microsoft Office and Bijoy typing will be critical for preparing students for both the local job market and higher education.”
The training aligns with DTTTI’s mission to elevate the quality of technical education in Bangladesh by improving the competencies of educators. By equipping teachers with vital computer skills, the institute is contributing to the broader goal of integrating technology into classrooms and modernizing the education sector.
DTTTI continues to offer targeted professional development programs to ensure that educators stay current with technological advancements, ultimately preparing their students for the demands of the modern workforce.
